Main Street Rag Publishing Poetry Workshop with Eric Weil. "Hyacinths & Biscuits" Workshopping poems with a focus on the relationship between sounds and images.
9:00-10:15 am (limit 14)

Anhinga Press Poetry Workshop with Rick Campbell and Chad Sweeney. Poetry of Wonder from Zen to Madness: Wonder/Awe, dressed in different clothing, is the element that unites many of the world’s great poetries.  We’ll write our own Wonder poems, while celebrating invocations of Wonder from haiku, Romanticism, deep image and the surreal (among others).  Throughout the workshop we’ll be lightning struck by sudden five-minute drills, and we’ll have many opportunities to share our new creations.10:30-11:45 am (limit 14)

In this workshop, Kevin Watson of Press 53 discusses a few strategic steps writers can take before approaching a publisher. 12:00-1:15 pm (limit 14)

from the Fishouse Poetry Workshop with Charlotte Matthews "As the World Turns"While poems do not make the earth turn or defrost frozen chicken in seven minutes, they do provide evidence that we are not alone, not stuck with only ourselves.    This hands-on workshop will embrace the writing process as a means of interior communication and will involve writing, reading, and offering feedback to one another.  We will not watch t.v or do laundry. 1:30-2:45 pm (limit 14)
